The RPTN Network also owns and operates various news blogs.

IRC News was a project Wade Parker and Rick Fournier got involved with, but unfortunately Google News came around at the same time destroying our chances. After a year of still trying, the database got to big and to expensive in system resources to maintain. Now IRC News only covers IRC related news, rather then providing a IRC news channel scraping RSS feeds and publishing it to the web, we now manually cover IRC (Internet Relay Chat) related news from as many networks as possible.

The Montreal Blog was created as a News Blog for locals, there are tons of news that is interesting but the major media corporations usually don’t really care about the story unless it can “sell good”. The only motivation the Montreal Blog has to post something is to inform the people, since knowledge is power. If I think residents of Montreal will be interested about the “news” our team will approve it.

Another news website of ours is the Montreal Nightlife Blog, it lists all events that we comes across that take place in the Montreal Nightlife. Montreal’s Nightlife scene is rated top 3 in the world. From concert events, bar shows, strip club events to drag shows and much more. Montreal is a city that never sleeps and it’s full of things to do. We also cover the local hockey games, as Hockey nights in Montreal are a big important part of it’s nightlife and bar scene.

And for those who like a more chaotic news forum, we also runs the Montreal News Forum, where any registered user can post any news related topic and have an open forum discussion about it. We strongly believe in an unmoderated news medium where users can report whatever they think is news worthy. Unlike the Montreal Blog, the Montreal Forum is unmoderated and that means to post, all you need is to register for free.
